Throwback Thursday

Hi Stampers,

I wanted to share with you the fun little 3D project I've been working on this week with my friend Laura.  She found this idea on Pinterest, originally created by Jen Arkfeld.  The stamp set & dies used are retired, that's why it's a Throwback Thursday project!  If you can get your hands on them, you can make these stinkin' cute favors for your Thanksgiving table!

It's so corny it's cute.  Excuse the pun!  We made the Indian Corn using the Stamparatus.  Each corn cob is stamped in Crushed Curry, then I went back & added the colors randomly using Cajun Craze, Blackberry Bliss & Mossy Meadow Stampin' Write Markers & stamped a second time.  Because the stamp is mounted on the Stamparatus, the colors lined up perfectly.

The eyes, beak & wattle are all created with punches.  We used a white gel pen to add highlights to the eyes.

Here's the product list, including the retired items for reference.  Happy stamping!

Snowman Season

Hi Stampers,

It's Snowman Season!  Wait! What!?  The leaves haven't even changed yet, lol!  I know, but my friend Vicki Shaffer taught a class last Saturday where we made 3 cards using this sweet little snowman stamp, so I was inspired to create snowman cards, too!

This is such a great stamp if you want to make a lot of cards quickly.  The snowflakes are die-cuts in the Seasonal Layers Dies but if you have any snowflake punches, you could make fast work of those, too.

The images are easy to color with Stampin' Blends, just a bit of color on the hat, scarf & nose, plus a swipe of Light Pool Party to shadow the snowman & you're done.

Thanks for visiting my blog today!  Here are the supplies I used to create these cards:
