Free as a Bird Fun Fold

Welcome to my blog!  Today I have a fun fold card to show that's easy to adapt to different occasions.

It opens like this - the card slips out to write your message on.  It would also hold a gift card!

The pocket is held together using a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive split lengthwise to 1/8" & placed along both edges.  I like a fun fold card that stays closed when it should, that's why the circle is adhered to the bottom half of the card with Dimensionals and the top flap tucks under it.

There's not a lot of stamping here, just the greeting and the flowers and leaves - the pair of birds is cut from Designer Paper!

The flowers & leaves are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Stampin' Blends in Petal Pink (light & dark), Calypso Coral (light) and Old Olive (light & dark).  There are no dies that go with Free as a Bird, so I fussy-cut them.  I brushed the flowers with Wink of Stella and added a gem to the center of each.

Here are the particulars...

The base is made from Pool Party cardstock, 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 2-1/2" & 6-1/2".
Whisper White 5-3/8" x 1-7/8", stamp first then emboss with the Subtle Embossing Folder
Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper 5-3/8" x 2-3/8"
Whisper White for inside the pocket 4-3/4" x 3-1/2"
Pool Party circle is 2-1/4" and the birds are cut with a 2" die or circle punch
