Stack, Slice & Shuffle with the Autumn Leaves Suite

This beautiful designer paper is one of my all-time favorites.  It's called All About Autumn, and it's been so popular with Stampin' Up! customers that it has sold out twice already, and in production for the third time this fall.

This paper pack is especially well-suited to the Stack, Slice & Shuffle technique because you can show three different patterns on the same card.  Trust me, it's hard to choose from just one, as every sheet is gorgeous.

The oak & maple leaves surrounding the sentiment are cut from Oxidized Copper Specialty DSP, which is part of the Autumn Leaves Suite.  I've used Thick Very Vanilla cardstock for the base of each card.  I chose a mat to coordinate with each card - here, from left to right, the mats are Copper Clay, Moody Mauve & Cajun Craze.

I have to admit that I didn't care for Moody Mauve before I saw this paper.  Now I love this color - especially paired with Pretty Peacock.

This diagram shows how to cut your papers.  You will cut 3 pieces of 3-3/4" x 5" designer paper, stacked on top of each other, at the same time.  This is the "Stack & Slice" part of the technique.  No measuring needed here - just make the first cut approximately as shown.  Move the corner pieces you cut off out of the way and make the second cut as shown.

After you finish cutting you'll have 9 pieces of designer paper (3 pieces of 3-3/4' x 5", cut into 3 pieces each).  Now comes the shuffle - simply rearrange the pieces to make 3 card fronts, each having 3 different papers.

Now comes the fun part...the shuffle!

This is such a great card design to make a bunch of cards quickly.  Just mount these on a 4" x 5-1/4" piece of coordinating cardstock and add to your card base.  Add a punched or die-cut shape with a sentiment stamped on it & you're done!

The All About Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper is currently scheduled to be back in stock the week of October 23.  If you would like me to notify you when it's available again, please drop me an email:  ramblinstamper@gmail.com

Get Well Card Idea

This is such a great all-purpose sentiment to have in your inventory of stamps.  I find myself saying "stay well",  "stay healthy" & "take care" a lot these days.  "Wishing you well" goes right along with those and fits in with a lot of circumstances you might want to send a card for.

I used Crumb Cake for my card base, accented with Early Espresso, Whisper White and metallic cardstocks.  The Designer Paper is from the Gilded Autumn Pack.  The strip of gold metallic cardstock behind the sentiment is embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder.

This could be a wonderful Thanksgiving card also, just by changing the sentiment!

Gathered Leaves Thank You Card

Do you notice anything unusual about this card?  There's no stamping!  It's not often that I make a card without any stamping at all, but I really like this one.

I used my Playful Alphabet, Gathered Leaves and Stitched Shapes Dies.  To get the color variation on the leaves, I laid the dies upside down on my ink pad to pick up ink on the recessed areas before cutting them.

I used my Greenery Embossing Folder to emboss a separate piece of Cajun Craze cardstock which I attached right down the middle of the card.  The leaves and letters are glued to the stitched squares with multi-purpose liquid glue and the squares are adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.
