Be Cool - Be Chill - Be Merry!

This is such a fun card for the holidays that's a real departure from tradition!  Black, White & Fresh Freesia are a great color combination.

The card base is Thick Basic White.  The mat of layering weight Basic White is embossed on the bottom half using the Wintry 3D Embossing Folder.  A piece of White Glittered Organdy ribbon is wrapped around to hide the seam.  The designer paper is Penguin Playmates (a freebie from our last Sale-a-Bration).  The penguin is punched from the same designer paper, or you could stamp him using the Penguin Place stamp & punch.

My favorite part of this card is that big, beautiful snowflake in the center.  It's holographic!  I think this card would be wonderful done in other colors, too, like Pool Party or Mint Macaron.

Happy Hanukkah

My arsenal of supplies for creating Hanukkah cards is pretty sparse, so when I need one I'm forced to think outside the box and get creative.  I'm hoping this might help someone else who's struggling to create a pretty Hanukkah card!

The card base is made from Misty Moonlight cardstock.  The card front is a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of Basic White.  I die-cut the largest snowflake from So Many Snowflakes Dies in the center, then embossed with the retired Subtle 3D Embossing Folder and adhered it to the card base.

The Balmy Blue diamond shape is just a square turned on end and mounted with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The gems, embossing folders, square stitched die and cardstock for the small white snowflake are all retired items - they're listed at the very end of the products shown below.

I printed this on my computer for the inside sentiment.  I'm pretty pleased with how this card turned out and I hope my friend likes it too!

This was last year's Hanukkah card - you can get the details here.

Hanukkah begins at sundown on November 28, 2021.  Have fun with these cards!

Painted Christmas - There's Magic in the Air!

The Painted Christmas Suite has one of the most beautiful color palettes of all.

Painted Christmas 12 x 12 Designer Series Paper #156292

Calypso Coral, Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Evening Evergreen, Garden Green, Pear Pizzazz, Real Red, Soft Sea Foam, and Soft Succulent.  So many choices for creating!

I CASE'd (Copy And Selectively Edit) this card from Mary Fish with a couple of changes.  I added more bling (are you surprised?) for one and used a different pattern from the designer paper pack.

The card base is Crumb Cake.  The designer paper is 3-3/4" x 5", layered on a 4" x 5-1/4" mat of Evening Evergreen.  Real Red 3-3/4" x 2" is the first layer behind the pine cones.  From Seasonal Labels dies, cut a 3-3/8" x 1-7/8" label from Crumb Cake cardstock and a 2-1/8" x 2-3/8" label from Pear Pizzazz cardstock.  The front sentiment is stamped in Evening Evergreen and die-cut with the smallest label die in Seasonal Labels.  The pine cones are stamped on Crumb Cake cardstock using Crumb Cake and Early Espresso inks and die-cut.  Everything is adhered to the card front with multipurpose liquid glue except for the pine cones and sentiment, which are mounted on Stampin' Dimensionals.

That strip of bling above the Real Red?  It's a 1/4" x 3-3/4" strip of Be Dazzling Specialty Paper, which was offered during the recently ended Sale-a-Bration.  If you missed getting some of it, try using a strip of gold glimmer paper or gold foil for the same effect!  A trio of Real Red Wonderful Gems adds extra sparkle to this fun card.
