Gathered Leaves Thank You Card

Do you notice anything unusual about this card?  There's no stamping!  It's not often that I make a card without any stamping at all, but I really like this one.

I used my Playful Alphabet, Gathered Leaves and Stitched Shapes Dies.  To get the color variation on the leaves, I laid the dies upside down on my ink pad to pick up ink on the recessed areas before cutting them.

I used my Greenery Embossing Folder to emboss a separate piece of Cajun Craze cardstock which I attached right down the middle of the card.  The leaves and letters are glued to the stitched squares with multi-purpose liquid glue and the squares are adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.

Forever Fern & Lovely You for Fall

 Hi Crafty Friends,

I normally don't think of Mint Macaron as a color I would use for Fall, but I love the fresh vibe it gives these cards---

The Designer Paper is from the Gilded Autumn Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.  Each sheet has metallic accents that add gorgeous highlights to all your projects.

For this card, I used a 2" x 5-1/4" piece of the Gilded Autumn paper on the front of the card.  The other half is embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder.

The images are stamped in Cinnamon Cider, Bumblebee & Pumpkin Pie.  The spray of leaves in the background is die-cut from Brushed Metallic cardstock.  Mounting them on a panel of Whisper White makes the colors "pop".    The sentiment is stamped in Cinnamon Cider.

A Pair of Summertime Samplers

 Hi Crafty Friends!

Today I'm sharing one of my favorite projects, a pair of samplers.  This is a gift for dear friends we visit every summer who have a lakeside cottage.  The idea for these has been floating around in my head since last summer.  They tell the story of a very wonderful place!

These are sized to fit a 9" x 9" shadowbox frame (purchased from Michael's Crafts).  The bottom layer of white cardstock is 9" x 9" and the Pool Party cardstock layer on top of that is 8-1/2" x 8-1/2".  Each individual section is matted in Pretty Peacock cardstock.  Let's take a closer look at each:

I pulled together a LOT of different Stampin' Up products, some retired and some current, for this project.  Starting at the top left and going clockwise, here is a list:

1)  Lilypad Lake & Lakeside Framelits (retired) and Waterfront Stamp Set
2)  Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper, Sailing Home Stamp Set & Smooth Sailing Dies
3)  Large Letters Framelits (retired)
4)  Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper & Catch of the Day Dies (retired)
5)  Best Catch Stamp Set (retired), Catch of the Day Dies (retired) & Dockside Dies
6)  Best Catch Stamp Set (retired) & Catch of the Day Dies (retired)

Again, from the top left going clockwise:

1)  Large Letters Framelits (retired)
2)  Colorful Seasons Stamp Set (retired), Seasonal Layers Thinlits (retired), By the Dock Stamp Set,            Dockside Dies, & Whale of a Time Designer Series Paper
3)  July 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit
4)  Jar of Love Stamp Set (retired) & Everyday Jars Framelits (retired)
5)  By the Dock Stamp Set, Dockside Dies, Waterfront Stamp Set, Stitched Rectangle Dies & Timeless       Tropical Stamp Set

WHEW!  I told you I used a lot of different products, lol.  Hopefully I didn't forget to list any of them!

I chose white frames to complement the colors on the samplers.

I don't usually share projects that use so many retired products, but I hope you enjoy these and get some great ideas for your own samplers and cards.  If I can answer any questions about these samplers, please leave a comment below or email me!

Thanks a Ton!

 Hi Stampers,

My love affair with the Whale of a Time Suite continues!  With the beautiful designer papers, embossing folder and the variety of sentiments in the stamp set, this suite has so many possibilities.

I'm playing along with The Paper Players Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge PP506 this week - using patterned paper, embossing & die cuts.

The tiny fish are stamped in Pool Party & Calypso Coral before embossing with the Seabed Embossing Folder.  The seaweed was die-cut from the designer paper.  The whale is punched from the designer paper too!

I used a piece of the Whale of a Time designer paper to decorate the envelope flap.

The detail on the Seabed Embossing Folder is so delicate and pretty!

The entire Whale of a Time Suite Collection includes everything I used on this card plus some lovely bling - sheer Pool Party ribbon & sparkly sequins.
