Online Extravaganza - My Faves!

Hi Stampers,

Today's post is a share of my favorite sale items from the Online Extravaganza - the sale is all this week, ending next Monday, November 28!

#140619 Rose Garden Framelits Dies - regular price $31.00, on sale for 30% off = $21.70

These framelits have a matching stamp set, Rose Wonder #140697 which is not included in this sale, but there are so many beautiful cards that you can make with just the framelits and other sentiments that you probably already own.  Here are some samples I collected from Pinterest:

#140621 Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Dies - regular price $25.00, on sale for 30% off = $17.50

These thinlits make gorgeous wedding cards, valentine's day cards, anniversary cards and more.  The coordinating stamp set is Bloomin' Love #140643, regular price $17.00 (not included in this sale). However, #140550, Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper, which is just lovely when used with these thinlits, is on sale at 30% off, also!  Here are some examples made from the Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Dies:

#141841 Christmas Stockings Thinlits Dies - regular price $30.00, on sale at 30% off = $21.00

The matching stamp set for these thinlits, #142114 Hang Your Stocking, is on sale at 25% off as part of the Stitched From the Heart promotion.  The regular price for the stamp set is $21.00, but you can purchase it for $15.75 through November 30.  Purchase both items now and save even more than when purchased in a bundle- $9.00 more, to be exact!  Here are some great ideas using these thinlits & stamps (they're not just for Christmas - how adorable is that stick horse?)

#141488 Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies - regular price $27.00, on sale for 20% off = $21.60

These banner dies are awesome - and they coordinate with many stamp sets, including Banners for ChristmasSeasonal Bells, Stitched with Cheer, Birthday Banners, Banners For You, Basket for You, Time of Year, and One Wild Ride.  With a little patience, you can also bend other photopolymer stamp sentiments to fit in them!  Here are some examples of beautiful cards using Bunch of Banners Framelits:

#140622 Large Numbers Framelits - regular price $31.00, on sale at 20% off = 24.80

These are a must have for milestone birthdays and anniversaries.  Also wonderful for graduation and New Year's!  The coordinating stamp set #140653 Number of Years is nice to have, but not absolutely necessary (also not on sale this time!)  Here are some examples:

#142202 Glamper Greetings - regular price $26.00, on sale for 10% off = $23.40

If you read my blog regularly, you know I love this stamp set and you know why.  Enough said.  Here are some great examples:

Last, but not least:

#130658 Big Shot Magnetic Platform - regular price $40.00, on sale at 35% off = $26.00 - on sale for 24 hours only, Monday, November 28 - mark your calendar!

This is a great deal.  When I first got my Big Shot I didn't think I needed this, but after I broke down and bought it, I use it all the time!  My dies don't slip or slide when I'm lining them up with my stamped images and no need for tape to hold them in place!  Trust me, you'll love it!

Things to remember:  All the products I talked about here are on sale now through midnight, November 28th EXCEPT the Big Shot Magnetic Platform, which is on sale November 28th ONLY.
The Hang Your Stocking stamp set is on sale through November 30, but why wait?  Order it with the matching thinlits and save on shipping!  Please use November Host Code 6AKSBPBZ when ordering.

I hope I've inspired you.  Have a wonderful day!
Pat

Glamper Greetings for Christmas

Hi Stampers,

As a camper, when the Glamper Greetings stamp set debuted in the Holiday Catalog, it was the first thing on my wishlist!  If you're a camper or have camping friends, this set is a must-have. There are so many cute sentiments and images that you can use to create cards, stationery, or scrapbook pages for camping enthusiasts, including:

Home is Where You Park It
Let's Get Away From it All
May the Adventures Continue
Happy Birthday
This is How We Roll
Have a Happy Holiday
Hey There, Happy Camper
Not All Who Wander are Lost - J.R.R. Tolkien
Wishing You a Happy, Haunted Halloween

Seriously, how awesome are those?  Here's the card I created for my snowbird friends:

My card base is cut from Mint Macaron.  The Designer Paper is Presents & Pinecones and the banners are cut from Cherry Cobbler.  I used mainly Emerald Envy & Cherry Cobbler to color my image to coordinate nicely with the designer paper.

Metallic enamel shapes add interest to the banners

I used Bunch of Banners Framelits to cut the banners and embossed the sentiments with White Stampin' Emboss Powder.

There are so many cute details in this set...the lights, wreath & pie are all separate elements you can choose. Clear photopolymer stamps make it easy to place them exactly where you want!  I colored the images with my inks & Blender Pens.

Stamping the envelope lets everyone know there's something very special inside!

Here are some samples from the Stampin' Up catalog that show some of the other elements you can add to your projects.  There are 32 pieces included in the set!

If you love this stamp set, here's some great news for you - Glamper Greetings is ON SALE from November 21 - 28!  The regular price is $26.00 but you can buy it for $23.40 during the ONLINE EXTRAVAGANZA, a 10% savings!  Score!!

Happy Stamping & Glamping,

Pat

Pop of Paradise - Old is New Again!

Hi Stampers,

When Pop of Paradise was first released I had a lot of fun playing with it.  Then the Holiday Catalog came out and it was forgotten for a while.  But yesterday I saw a card on Pinterest that made me fall in love with Pop of Paradise all over again!

I love the way this card turned out - simple, but with a big WOW factor.  The card base is Mint Macaron 8-1/2" x 5-1/2", scored at 4-1/4".  The leaves are stamped with Mint Macaron, three directly onto the card base and two more stamped on Whisper White & cut out.  The black & white stripes are from the Neutrals Designer Paper Stack, cut at 1-1/4" x 4-1/4".  I think the black & white stripes make a striking statement added to the other bright colors.  The flamingo is stamped in Melon Mambo and the banner is stamped with Archival Black.  Put it all together with some Gold Sequin Trim and WOW!

So quick & easy to make a whole flock of flamingos!

Archival Black is the perfect ink to stamp this banner - so dark & crisp!

NEWS FLASH!  It's Online Extravaganza Time Again!  Check my online store beginning Monday, November 21, for discounts of up to 40% on select products!

Thanks for stopping by today!

It's All About the Details - Sketch Challenge for CPC65

Hi, Stampers!

I used this month's Creating Pretty Cards Sketch Challenge (CPC65) to design this card.

If you play along with this month's sketch, you could win a free month subscription to Craft Project Central! If you win, you'll even get to pick which month! Please go to the SKETCH POST to get all of the Do's and Don'ts for the sketch. I hope you'll play along! You'll need to submit your card by November 30 to be entered into the drawing!

It's all about the details on this card. I started with a piece of the beautiful Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up. I love the colors in this DSP - Sweet Sugarplum, Rich Razzleberry, Blushing Bride, Sahara Sand & Whisper White. I chose to concentrate on my 2 favorites, Sweet Sugarplum & Rich Razzleberry.

If you know me, you know I love the glitter. I just think it makes cards happier! So that's the first detail - I used Balloon Celebration to stamp the shading of the three balloons in Versamark, then sprinkled them with Heat & Stick powder. If you haven't tried this, it's awesome! After you sprinkle it on the Versamark stamped image, just heat it up with your Heat Tool - it only takes a few seconds for it to get sticky. Then sprinkle on your Dazzling Diamonds (or any other) glitter and heat again - the glitter sticks and doesn't flake off! I used the same technique on the 1" wide strip of Rich Razzleberry cardstock, this time using another image from Balloon Celebration.

Mmm...lots of glittery goodness!

The next detail is the embossing on the white panel - I used the Lovely Lace Embossing Folder. This panel is cut 2-1/4" x 3-1/2", and I stamped on it before running it through the Big Shot.  The balloon strings are part of the Balloon Celebration stamp set, and the "on your" is from the Host Set Time of Year.

The Birthday banner is also from Time of Year, stamped in Sweet Sugarplum.  Did you see the cute little pennant in the corner?  It's cut from Rich Razzleberry using the Balloon Framelits die-cut.

Last but not least, I used the largest oval in my new Stitched Shapes Framelits to make the Sweet Sugarplum oval peeking out from behind the Rich Razzleberry on the left side of this card.  The little wispy flowers are also from Balloon Celebration, stamped in Sweet Sugarplum.

The Stitched Shapes Framelits give such a polished look to your die-cuts.  And did you know that they layer with the Layering Circles, Layering Ovals and Layering Squares Framelits?  Love the coordination that Stampin' Up offers!

The Stitched Shapes Framelits are available now, along with select stamp sets at 25% off through November 30.

Have a wonderful day,

Vintage Leaves Sympathy

Hi Stampers,

My love of Vintage Leaves continues...today I'm sharing a couple of sympathy cards I designed. These are so simple to make, yet stunning (in my humble opinion!)

The first one uses what I think of as "fall" leaves - maple and oak.  The colors are Crushed Curry, Cajun Craze and Rich Razzleberry.  The stamping is simple - it's just random, with no particular pattern to it, on a background of Very Vanilla.  If you look closely, you can see that I "flicked" some gold Wink of Stella over the leaves.  You can barely see it in the photo but trust me, it's stunning to see in person.  I added a double mat of Basic Black and Cajun Craze,  a sentiment (non SU) using my Layering Oval Framelits, and a strip of 5/8" Burlap Ribbon.  I stamped the envelope flap using the same three colors for a finishing touch.

As much as I love fall, this is a card that I probably wouldn't use outside of the season, so I changed it up on the next one by using different leaves and colors:

On this one I left off the maple & oak leaves and used all the others.  The colors are Dapper Denim (stamped off once), Pear Pizzazz and Smoky Slate.  I covered the Smoky Slate leaves with clear Wink of Stella - it shows up nicely here, isn't it pretty?  The ribbon on this one is Dapper Denim 3/8" Ruched Ribbon.

I hope you're inspired by these cards!  Please visit my website to purchase any of the products mentioned here.

Happy stamping,
Pat
