Diamond Fun Fold with the Zany Zoo Crew

This is one of my favorite fun folds!  It's wonderful for showing off beautiful designer papers, and it's a great card to display.

This card is easy to recreate, you just need a focal image (or sentiment) that will fit on a 3" x 3" square, and your favorite coordinating designer papers.

I used Lemon Lime Twist for my card base.  It's 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2" & 8-7/8".  On the smallest section, make a pencil mark @ 2-1/8" and use your trimmer to cut the diamond shape.

Align the pencil mark and each end of the scoreline in the track of the trimmer to cut the diamond shape.

Here are the rest of the measurements you'll need to make this card:

3" x 3" square of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock

2-5/8" x 2-5/8" square of Basic Black cardstock

Stitched square die-cut about 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" cut from Basic White

Inside sentiment - Basic White cardstock 2-7/8" x 4"

Zoo Crew DSP 3-1/8" x 4" (2)

Zoo Crew DSP 2-1/4" x 4" (1)

Scraps of Basic White & Basic Black for the banner, turtle & raccoon

Stamp the animals & color with Stampin' Blends.  Stamp the banner sentiment in Versamark & use White Stampin' Emboss Powder then heat set.  Die-cut the animals and the banner.

Adhere the DSP to the card base as shown in the photos.  Assemble the Lemon Lime, Black & White squares together.  Stamp the music notes on the white square, keeping in mind the direction it will be mounted on the card.  Use liquid glue on the folded-back diamond section of the card base and mount the assembled squares there, matching the edges together.

Adhere the raccoon, black banner & inside sentiment.  The turtle is mounted to the front with Dimensionals.

Here are links to the products I used on this card.  The Zoo Crew Designer Series Paper is on sale through the end of June - the sale price will show when you add it to your cart!

Hippest Hippos Birthday Card

I'm making a birthday card for a very special four-year-old today.  This is the Hippest Hippos stamp set and the coordinating Hippo Dies.  The images are so fun to use!  This card makes me smile every time I look at it!

Obviously, for a 4-year old girl, this card needed a lot of bling.  She takes after her Grammy, lol!  This is my first time using Snowflake Specialty Vellum (it's not just for Christmas!), and I love it.  It's holographic, and best of all, the adhesive you use doesn't show through.  I also used some Wink of Stella on the tutus.  "Happy Birthday" is from the Timeless Tulips stamp set (retired) and there's a piece of retired white/black polka dot DSP behind that's 3/4" x 8-1/2".

Even though coloring isn't my thing, these were easy images to color with Stampin' Blends and I'll be making more hippo cards.

This slimline card fits perfectly in our Slimline Envelopes.  The card base is made from Thick Basic White cardstock, 8-1/2" x 7", scored at 3-1/2".

You can get the Hippest Hippos stamp set and the Hippo Dies for free during Sale-a-Bration!  This offer ends on August 31, 2022 or when supplies run out.  The stamp set and dies are available separately with a $50 purchase.

Counting Sheep Fun Fold for Kids (or Kids at Heart!)

Hi friends, Counting Sheep on this fun Bridge Fold card today.  This would be such a cute card for any little one, but especially for a 3-year old!

There's a panel on the back of the card for an extra greeting and a place to write.

This is the basic template for any bridge fold card that fits in a standard envelope.  My card uses Night of Navy cardstock for the base.  The designer paper that decorates the panels is 1" x 4" (4 pieces); and 2-3/4" x 4" (one piece for the center section).  The DSP that I used is called Beauty of the Earth.

The "bridge" gets attached while one side of the card is folded and the other side is not.  When the card is folded as shown, the length is 5-1/2" - this is how the card will be folded to fit in your envelope.  The bridge gets attached only on the left and right sides using strong adhesive like Tear & Tape or liquid glue.

I assembled the card in this order:

Before folding card base -
1)  Adhere DSP to card base
2)  Adhere greeting panel to the back
3)  Stamp grass on green bridge; adhere fence
4)  Adhere sheep to fence
5)  Adhere cloud, sun & sentiment to center panel
6)  Adhere balloons

Fold card base and continue -
7)  Attach bridge on left and right ends
8)  Add sheep on left & right panels
9)  Embellish with sequins & twine bow

Pro Tip...

Don't let the sheep extend beyond the left or right edge of your card.  If you do, it won't fit inside the envelope!  They can extend past the fold toward the center of the card as much as you like.

Counting Sheep and the Sheep Dies can be earned for FREE during Sale-a-Bration with a qualifying purchase!!
