Double-Easel Fold Christmas Barn

I'm totally in love with this Christmas Barn stamp set.  This one is a fancy fold called a double easel.  It's a great fold for a display card - it folds nice & flat to fit in an envelope, but when opened up the bottom half of the card "pops"!

The card base is Basic Gray, 11" x 4-1/4", scored at 5-1/2" so the fold is at the top of the card.  Adhered to the card front is a piece of Real Red cardstock that's 10-1/4" x 4", scored at 5-1/4" & 7-3/4".

The glittery snow is 3-3/4" x 2-3/8".  Notice that it goes to the very edge of the fold so that when the card is closed it blends seamlessly with the background white.  For the background, I used a piece of retired designer series paper 5" x 3-3/4" that had some beautiful black and silver evergreens printed on it.  If you don't have something similar, you can stamp your own trees using the tree image from the stamp set.

The barn is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black on Smoky Slate cardstock.  The horse & sleigh is colored with Stampin' Blends.  The two trees are stamped one in Smoky Slate and one in Tuxedo Black, then embossed with Shimmer White Embossing Powder (retired).

I would LOVE to be your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.  If you live in the U.S., you can order your papercrafting supplies from my online store.  Just click any of the images below.  So easy!

My Christmas Barn

I've used this Christmas Barn stamp set for Fall cards but this is the first Christmas card I've created with it.  I love this snowy barn scene, it reminds me of a barn we have on our property.

This is my for real Christmas barn :)

I stamped the barn using Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Smoky Slate cardstock to make it look like my own barn.  (Also because this way it doesn't need to be colored!)  The wreath is stamped in Evening Evergreen and I colored the bow with Stampin' Blends.  The mat on the card and the sentiment are both Cherry Cobbler.

The Basic White background (5" x 3-3/4") is embossed with the Evergreen Forest 3D Embossing Folder (retired).  The trees were stamped in Evening Evergreen ink, then heat embossed with Shimmer White Embossing Powder (also retired).  The sentiment, barn & fence are all raised on Stampin' Dimensionals.

Bewitching Treat Box

These boxes are a fun way to gift a little treat to someone special for Halloween!

I created my own box using the Bewitching Stamp & Punch Bundle.  It's filled with my favorite, Dove chocolates!

I'm sharing this project at a new challenge blog (new to me, anyway!), Stampin' Up! Only Challenges.  The theme for #312 is Halloween!

Here's the template.  Cut a piece of cardstock 7-1/2" x 6-3/4".  I used Pumpkin Pie.  Score the long side at 1-1/2", 2", 4-1/2", and 5".  Score the short side at 1", 1-1/2", 5-1/4" & 5-3/4".  Using paper snips, cut out the 4 corners along score lines as shown in the orange shaded areas.

The designer paper is Plaid Tidings from 2020 (retired).  The top piece is 1-1/4" x 3-1/2" (round the corners).  The bottom piece is 2-1/4" x 3-1/2".  Be sure to use a strong adhesive to assemble the box - double sided Tear & Tape or Liquid Multi-purpose Glue.

Added a little surprise message on the inside!

The box is held closed with a belly band, 1" x 7", cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock.  The witches hat is stamped in black.  I used the Stamparatus so I could stamp it 2-3 times until it was a deep, rich black.  The dots are colored with Stampin' Blends.  The hat band is made from a piece of white glimmer cardstock colored with a Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends marker.
