Blended Seasons Sneak Peek!

One card, three ways...

July is drawing to a close and I have exciting news about August!  Starting on Wednesday, August 1 there is a fantastic new stamp set with matching framelits that will be available, but only while supplies last!  As a demonstrator, I was able to order this early to play with and I'm loving the versatility of this bundle.

This is the first card I made using my new bundle.  It's clean & simple.  The leaves are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black and I colored them using my Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Crumb Cake & Bronze Stampin' Blends.  The leaf embellishment is cut from Copper Foil.

The stamped panel is 3" x 4-1/4".  The black mat is 3-1/4" x 4-1/2".  The white behind the black mat is 4" x 5-1/4".  The card base is cut from Crumb Cake.

On my second card, I stepped it up a bit by embossing the leaves with Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder.

I love this embossed look, but the big advantage with embossing is how much easier it makes the images to color.  Whether you prefer coloring with Blends, Markers or Watercolor Pencils, the embossing forms a small ridge that keeps the color from bleeding outside the lines.

For my third card, I stepped it up even more by using one of the 3 beautiful framelits included in this set.  These leaves are colored with Rich Razzleberry, Pumpkin Pie & Cherry Cobbler Blends.

These framelits are unlike any others that Stampin' Up sells.  As you can see here, each framelit has stitching on the inside & outside of the shape!

These are some of the samples the Stampin' Up Design Team has created.  This bundle has something for every season!

Painted Harvest Z-Fold - Soft & Subtle

Painted Harvest is not what it sounds like.

The word "harvest" brings to mind ripe pumpkins, corn shocks and golden wheat in shades of orange, gold & brown.  Painted Harvest is so much more than that.  Getting creative with the wealth of colors available to you can create spectacular results!

Aren't these lovely?  So Saffron & Petal Pink cardstocks paired with Designer Papers from the Subtles family are the basis for this trio of Z-Fold cards.

I CASE'd (Copy And Selectively Edit) these cards from the quarterly magazine that all Stampin' Up demos receive, Stampin' Success.  I used the colors and general designs featured in the magazine, but changed them up a bit to fit on this simple Z-Fold design.

Here you can see why this is called a Z-Fold.  There are many variations of this fold, including a Double Z, but this is pretty basic.  It starts with a half sheet of cardstock cut at 4-1/4" x 11", scored on the long side at 2-3/4" & 5-1/2".  Fold on the 5-1/2" scoreline as you normally would, then fold the second scoreline in the opposite direction.  The Whisper White panels on the front & inside are 3" x 4".

Each sunflower is stamped the same way:  Petal Pink for the bottom layer, Grapefruit Grove for the second layer, and So Saffron for the center.  The leaves are stamped with Pear Pizzazz and the sentiment is Soft Suede.    The Stamparatus positioning tool makes stamping these sunflowers a breeze - line it up once and stamp away!

The leaves are cut with a punch.  The sunflower is fussy-cut.  A little time-consuming, but oh, so worth the effort!  The secret to fussy-cutting an image is to hold your snips in one place and turn the image as you cut.

Stampin' Success magazine is just one of the many little perks that Stampin' Up demonstrators enjoy.  Phenomenal demonstrator support is another.  A big one is early access to new products - demonstrators can begin ordering from the 2018 Holiday Catalog on August 1!
