Annual Catalog Team Card Swap - Part II

Welcome back!  Today I'm sharing the rest of the beautiful cards created by our team of Stampin' Up Artists for our Annual Catalog Card Swap.

Marta crafted a pop-out swing card using A Good Man.  It opens to reveal another beautiful image and sentiment from the same stamp set -

Linda's card uses beautiful designer papers and the Lilypad Lake stamp set with the Lakeside Framelits Dies.

Ellen used the Good Morning Magnolia Bundle to create this card.  The images inside the die-cut center are popped up on Dimensionals to create a "floating" effect - similar to a Floating Frame card but with her own twist!

Carolyn's card is a fun four-fold design with gorgeous copper embossing on the front panel.  Each inside panel has more lovely stamped images -

My swap card uses stamps, dies, trinkets & laser-cut cards from the Bird Ballad Suite.  Read more about it in this blog post.

Annual Catalog Team Card Swap - Part I

Hello crafty friends, welcome to my blog!  My team of Stampin' Up artists just finished their first Annual Catalog Swap and today I want to share some of their creations with you.  These ladies amaze me every day with their talent and passion for stamping.  Enjoy!

Beth used a brand-new In Color for her card base, Seaside Spray.  She watercolored the sunset background using Calypso Coral, Peekaboo Peach and So Saffron.

Vicki's card uses the Country Floral Embossing Folder.  She sponged on her favorite pastel colors and spritzed the entire background with Frost White Shimmer Paint.  The beautiful ribbon was white before she used her ink pad to dye it!

Laura's card features designer papers and a lovely sky sponged with puffy white clouds.  It's a fancy fold - the arm swings open:

Cindy colored her bluebirds with watercolor pencils and mounted them on a laser-cut card base.  There's room to write a greeting on the inside of the card behind the stitched label shape.

Stop back on Friday when I'll share some more of our swap cards!

Fancy Fold with Good Morning Magnolia-THIS IS THE ONE!

Welcome to my blog!  It's been a while since I've tried any fancy folds, but I was inspired by the beautiful cards my team members created for our recent card swap.  Off to Pinterest to see what I could find!  What I came up with was this Interlocking Gatefold Card by Dawn Griffith.  I LOVE this fold - I have so many ideas for ways to use it.

I love how this card looks and how easy it is to make!  The base is Petal Pink, cut 8-1/2 x 5-1/2 (1/2 sheet of cardstock).  Score the long edge at 2-1/8" and fold.  Take the other side and fold it in so the edges meet perfectly in the middle and crease with your bone folder.

The oval ring is cut using the largest of the Layering Ovals Framelits, skip the next size, then use the third size to cut the inside.  The stamped oval is cut with the same die.  The magnolia is colored with Petal Pink & Mossy Meadow blends, leaving the tips of the petals white.  I brushed the petals with Clear Wink of Stella to make them shimmer.

The card inside is Whisper White cut to 4" x 5-1/4".  The 2 Whisper White panels on the front are 2" x 5-3/8" and the designer paper is 1-7/8" x 5-1/4".

This is an easy card to mass produce.  I think it looks beautiful with any "scripty" font.  Not sure if that's a word, but it should be :-)  Wouldn't this make a gorgeous invitation for a wedding shower?

Bird Ballad Suite

Hello crafty friends, welcome to my blog!  I'm having so much fun using all the goodies in Stampin' Up's Bird Ballad Suite. Today I'm using the laser-cut cards & trinkets along with the stamps & dies:

These laser-cut cards are so beautiful.  I added a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece of So Saffron cardstock behind the delicate laser-cutting to make it "pop".  Just a thin line of liquid glue around the edges keeps it in place.

The birds are colored with Stampin' Blends and the sentiment is embossed.  All of the colors are shown in the product list at the end of this post.

Tip:

Don't forget to use the embossing buddy before stamping when you're using dark colored cardstock like this - it will keep the embossing powder from sticking where you don't want it!

I'm submitting this card to the Just Add Ink Challenge for this week.  These colors are gorgeous together!
