Sea of Textures Congratulations Card

Hello!

I'm having some more fun with the Sea of Textures Bundle today.  I love the "under the sea" elements in this stamp set -so different from what I usually reach for in the craft room!  I'm submitting this card to The Paper Players Celebration Theme Challenge - PP400.

This design was created using Night of Navy, Berry Burst & Mint Macaron.

Mint Macaron has been a favorite of mine for a long time, I'm so glad Stampin' Up brought it back!

I knew right away that I wanted the layered squares and the octopus as my focal point on this card but I struggled with the right background.  I tried using different designer papers from the Sea of Textures suite, but most of them were too busy or the colors didn't complement my focal image.  When I experimented with stamping the fishnet image, I knew it was the perfect background for this card.

The squares & the octopus are adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals so the whole focal point pops off the card.  The smallest sand dollar at the lower left corner is also popped up to balance things out.  Note that the legs of the octopus are backed with Stampin' Mini Dimensionals, but the head is adhered directly on top of the square image with liquid glue .
