Wishing You Well Note Cards

Wishing You Well is such a versatile stamp set!  Recently I featured a Christmas card created using it and today I have a card that's totally different.

This was stamped on a Whisper White Note card - sized at 5" x 3-1/2", it's perfect for this delicate image.  These note cards come in a package of 20 with matching envelopes, ready to stamp.

The floral spray is stamped in Smoky Slate.  The tiny flowers are Highland Heather, and the bow is Bermuda Bay.  This stamp set is one of the new Distinktive stamps that creates depth and intensity in a single stamp.

Here's another card I made with the same stamping, but this one is matted on a piece of Highland Heather cardstock and mounted on a full-sized card.  The matted image is raised without the use of Dimensionals...keep reading!

Tip for Creating Dimension

Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini-Dimensionals are used to "pop-up" or raise an element on a card to create interest (and dimension).   When you want to raise a large shape like a square, or even an entire card front, you can use a piece of scrap cardstock embossed with the corrugated embossing folder.  The embossed cardstock should be slightly smaller than the element you want to raise.  Adhere it with liquid glue for a strong bond.

This not only creates a solid foundation for your raised element, but saves on Dimensionals, too!

A Thoughtful Gift

Hi Stampers,

I've been hooked on the new Thoughtful Branches bundle since I got it.  My latest project is this set of five note cards with a matching gift box.  Thanks go to Jenny Moors, UK Stampin' Up! Demonstrator for the inspiration!  I followed her instructions for the box to a T, then put my own spin on the cards!  Here's the full set:

The cards were all made using the Stampin' Up! notecards.  They're made from thick Whisper White cardstock already scored for you, and they come twenty to a package including envelopes for $6.00 US.  I love how simple yet impressive these cards are.  The Sweet Sugarplum hydrangeas are painted with clear Wink of Stella - that's the shimmer that you see in the photo.  The tree trunk in the foreground was embossed with Copper - love it with the pinks.  Change up the greeting and this card would make a wonderful thank you for a baby shower, with its soft blue and pink hues.  Check back later this week for more details on how I made each card!

Happy stamping,
Pat
