I had a lot of fun with these hinged lid boxes! They are so easy
to make, and don't take a lot of materials.
Here's the basic recipe:
The 6 tabs are secured with Tear & Tape or your favorite double-sided tape adhesive. Be sure to adhere the center tabs to the box bottom (not the lid). This is super important for the lid to fit properly on the box.
The top is decorated with a 2-1/2" x 2-3/4" piece of designer paper. The moon is a 2" circle of cardstock. The cat is punched from Basic Black cardstock and accented with a box tied from Black Glittered Organdy Ribbon. How simple!
I added a little tag on the side to the box. This one is from the September 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit "Harvest & Haunts".
This box holds 6 Hershey's Nuggets wrapped in 1" x 3" strips of designer
paper.
I hope you'll try this box and let me know what you think. I could come
up with so many ways to decorate these! The lid fits quite well on these
boxes, but if you want extra security you could make a belly band and decorate
that. If you want to see an example, check
this blog post.
Love this!
