I'm submitting this card to the Global Design Project 160 CASE the Designer Challenge. I was inspired by the colors on this gorgeous card by Kristin Frattin:
The large flowers are from Oh So Eclectic and the Eclectic Layers Thinlits. The 3 small flowers in Grapefruit Grove are die-cuts from the Detailed Deer Thinlits and the clusters of smaller flowers and leaves are from the Bouquet Bunch Framelits. The flourish behind "90" comes from the Timeless Textures stamp set.
I used Very Vanilla for the card front because it blends so nicely with these colors to give this card a soft, feminine feel.
Did you know?
The secret to designing a card like this is to die-cut the flowers and leaves you want to use in three coordinating colors. Arrange them on your card without adhering them, trying different layouts and colors until you are happy with the result. When you're satisfied with the design, snap a picture with your cell phone to refer to as you glue the pieces in place. Choose one of the 3 colors as your card base for seamless coordination.
