What a great card for someone just to say "you've got this!"  So easy and fun to make, too.

I used sponge daubers to color the background...starting at the top, sponge on Night of Navy, Pumpkin Pie, Flirty Flamingo & So Saffron, blending each color into the next.  Remember to start your sponging off the edge of the cardstock on a piece of sheet of grid paper each time you dip back into the ink pad to avoid any dark splotches. 

When you're satisfied with your background, add the grass, biker & sentiment with Tuxedo Momento Black.  Hint - use the Stamparatus for the bicycle and sentiment for perfect placement and also to stamp them a second time if they need to be darker.  I layered my stamped panel on a piece of Night of Navy cardstock.

The inside sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy & Pumpkin Pie.  This is 2 separate stamps.  Again, the Stamparatus makes this simple to position.

So Sweet for Easter

With Easter coming up fast, I wanted to share with you a sweet little card I made using the Fable Friends stamp set.

I just can't get enough of this sweet little bunny!  She was so easy to color with my Stampin' Blends.

Stitched Shapes Framelits (my go-to dies) are perfect for this card.  I love the look of ribbon on a card but I struggle with making it look right, so I like to add this ribbon banner instead.

The designer paper is from the Subtles 6 x 6 assortment.  This is a great DSP to have in your stash, as it has all the colors in the Subtles collection in 4 different patterns. 

My plan was to design an Easter card for my baby granddaughter, but these were so cute I couldn't stop once I started!

I used this sentiment from Special Celebrations for the inside.

Once in Nine Lives

Cats or dogs?  I love both, but there's just something about a soft warm kitty on your lap that melts my heart.  So when I saw the Nine Lives stamp set, I knew I had to have it.  Here's my first play with it to inspire all you cat lovers (or friends of cat lovers!)---

Isn't that sweet?  I especially love the sentiments in this set.  I stamped my kitty in black and added more color with a Light Smoky Slate Stampin' Blends marker.  

These are some other color combinations I played with.  The kitty is a 2-step stamp.  You can stamp just the outline of the kitty, or you can add a second stamp to make your kitty have patches or tiger stripes. The Calico (upper left) was stamped in black then I added patches of orange with a Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends marker.  

I've been using my new Rectangle Stitched Framelits a lot.  Here I used the largest rectangle to cut a layer of Calypso Coral to frame my card.  

A kitty shouldn't be left hanging in mid-air, so a few strokes of Light Pool Party gives him a nice place to sit.

This is Buddy - my inspiration!  He loves a new box of Stampin' Up almost as much as I do...
