Roundup of Favorites

Hello!

Recently someone asked me what my all-time favorite card project was. It was a great question that got me thinking back to all the different projects I've done over the years! After some thought I came up with a list of six favorites that I thought I'd share with you. Clicking on the photo will take you back to the original post to learn more.

Here they are (in no particular order):

My Favorite Christmas Card

This one uses a great technique with the Woodland Embossing Folder - it's quick, easy and sparkly (you know I love glitter)!

My Favorite Thank You Card

I love the soft colors on this one, and the woodgrain DSP pulls it all together.

My Favorite Going Away Card

Once again, these colors wow me. Plus it has Copper embossing. I love anything with Copper Embossing. :)

My Favorite Birthday Card

I love the fold on this one, plus the matching gift box. And it was a Global Design Project Challenge winner to boot!

My Favorite Watercolor Card

This one has a great watercolor background made by stamping on an acrylic block. And of course, the colors are so vibrant!

My Favorite New Home Card

There's a lot that I like about this one: Eclipse technique, larger sized card, sponging technique, color, color, color! I'm a beach girl at heart, so this card makes me happy.

So there you have it, my all-time faves. Looking at them all together, I realize they there's a common theme - I love color! Another Double Z Fold!

Hi Stampers,

Today I'm sharing my larger version of the Double Z Joy Fold card. This one is a 5-1/2" square card created using the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set & the Daisy Delight bundle.

So cheerful! The paper is from the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper pack. The daisy is stamped in Daffodil Delight twice, punched out with the matching punch and layered together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue. The center is also stamped in Daffodil Delight and covored with Clear Wink of Stella. The leaves are stamped in Old Olive & Memento Tuxedo Black and fussy-cut. The sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set, using Old Olive.

The smaller daisies on the inside panel are a layered stamp. The solid layer is stamped off once in Daffodil Delight and the outline is added on top using the same color, only full-strength. Stamping off once or even twice is a great way to get shades of the same color.

The front panel of my card looks like designer paper, but it's not! Using an acrylic block large enough to completely cover the 3-1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock, I inked it up with my Daffodil Delight inkpad and spritzed it lightly with water. Then I stamped it on the cardstock the same as if I were using a stamp - this is the result! Of course, it needs to dry thoroughly before you stamp the sentiment on it.

Daisies from the Farmers Market

Hi, Friends!

I am having so much fun playing with the new In-Colors! I love experimenting with different combinations to see what works. One of my favorites is Powder Pink paired with Smoky Slate.

So soft and lovely! Smoky Slate is one of my favorite neutral colors - everything looks good with it. It's the "little black dress" of cardstock! I used 2 of my favorite new bundles on this project - Wood Words and Daisy Delight.

"Thank You" & "Farmer's Market" are stamped in Basic Gray. The daisy stems are stamped in Old Olive and the smaller flower stems are stamped in Pear Pizzazz. The small daisies are a 2-step stamp: the solid background is stamped in Powder Pink and the outline stamp is done in Flirty Flamingo. The large daisy is stamped in Powder Pink and the center is Flirty Flamingo.

I stamped the stems first, placing them so they would look as if they are tucked inside the crate. The crate is made with the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack and die-cut using the Wood Crate Framelits, which are included in the Wood Words Bundle. The center daisy is stamped on the card front; the other 2 are stamped once to show placement for the fussy-cut images.

See how the small daisies on the left & right are popped up? I love adding dimension to cards this way. The petals on the large flower were rolled around a pencil to shape them and a Dimensional behind the center pops it up too. Five rhinestone jewels add sparkle!
