Tune In for a Personalized Birthday Card

 Hi stampers,

I have a fun, fun project to share with you!

This retro TV has so many possibilities, but my favorite is using it like this with a photo.  This is a card that will be saved - who hasn't fantasized about seeing themselves on TV, lol!

I picked my colors sticking with the retro theme - Pretty in Pink & Basic Black.  If you're of a certain age, you know what I mean ---

Tip:  If you want to go totally retro, print your photo in black & white or sepia tones!

Carrying the theme over to the envelope is always a good idea!  The striped paper is from a 6 x 6 pack.  After I cut it 4" x 5-1/4", I had a piece 2" x 6" leftover.  That's not quite wide enough to cover the entire envelope flap, so I added a 1/4" strip of the black designer paper to the edge.

Make Ahead Tip-

Make these ahead and just leave one end of the television set open with no adhesive, ready to slide in a photo!

More Alternative Designs for "The Best There Is" Paper Pumpkin

Hi!  Sharing some more ideas with you from the most recent Paper Pumpkin kit - "The Best There Is" (May 2024).

On this one I used the add-on dies that are available to cut "thanks".  I cut 2 of these and glued them together to make it thicker.  Also added a circle of Pool Party cardstock behind the trees, and matted the beautiful chevron designer paper with Misty Moonlight.

This card is a good fit for the Festive Friday Challenge #FF0160.  I'm using Masculine Colors, Wood Elements and Thanks Sentiment.

Paper Pumpkin Alternatives - May 2024 "The Best There Is"

My newest Paper Pumpkin kit came this week and I'm loving the masculine vibes.  I don't need any more Father's Day cards this year, so I'm getting creative with the kit elements and coming up with some cards that I like even better than the originals!

Country Flowers Diamond Fold Card

This awesome fun fold card, called a Diamond Fold, has been a favorite of mine since the first time I tried it.  The images in the Country Flowers stamp set are sized perfectly to fit it!

The teapot and the flowers in it are 2 separate stamps, so I was able to adhere the teapot with liquid glue, then pop the flowers up on Stampin' Dimensionals.  I colored everything with Stampin' Blends in Smoky Slate, Old Olive, Misty Moonlight, Petunia Pop & Pretty in Pink.

This is the base for the Diamond Fold Card.  I used Misty Moonlight cardstock.  To create the point, make a small pencil mark at 2-1/8" and use your trimmer to cut from that mark to each end of the  scoreline, as shown in the photo.

Here are the rest of the measurements for this card:

3" square of Misty Moonlight cardstock
2-13/16" square of Basic White
2-5/8" square of Country Lace Designer Paper (Smoky Slate)

2-7/8" x 4" Basic White for inside
3-1/8" x 4" Misty Moonlight Designer Paper for card front
2-1/4" x 4" Misty Moonlight Designer Paper for inside (to the right of the Basic White)
3-1/8" x 4" Smoky Slate Designer Paper for inside (to the left side of the center fold)

You can see another example of the Diamond Fold in this blog post from June 2023.
