Season of Thanks

Hi friends, welcome to my blog!  I'm so thankful to live in a part of the country where we see the seasons change.  The fall colors have been beautiful this year!  I spent some time last weekend designing this card to celebrate the season:

Such a beautiful color combination - Pretty Peacock, Cajun Craze, Mint Macaron & Pear Pizzazz.  The rustic woodgrain background is found in the Come to Gather Designer Series Paper pack.

The gingham leaves (another design from the same paper pack) are made with a punch, as are the copper leaf sprigs.

The largest leaf and the pumpkins are stamped on Whisper White & colored with Stampin' Blends.

The colors on the two smaller maple leaves is achieved by inking the die before cutting it.  Read more about this technique here.

The inside is simple.  I always stamp an image on the inside of my cards, and also on the envelope.

I'm sharing this card at the Paper Players challenge blog this week - the theme is "Into the Woods".

These cards are on the way to all of my customers who placed an order last month.  I appreciate all of you!
