Nature's Beauty

Hello Friends,

Mr. Brown came last week with a new box of goodies for me and here's the result:

Oh my goodness, I love the Nature's Beauty stamps!  I can see so many uses for this set, particularly for the guys.  This is a very special set for Stampin' Up, as they are using it to raise funds - $3 of every purchase goes toward mental health organizations.

I'm submitting my card to these challenge blogs -

About those leaves...

Aren't they gorgeous?!  Here's the trick to get this look -

The die (Gathered Leaves dies) cuts & embosses at the same time.  If you ink the die before cutting with it, the veins really stand out.  The die comes perfectly clean under running water when you're finished.

I combined Nature's Beauty with the Gather Together Bundle for this card.  I love everything Fall, so I purchased the entire Come to Gather Suite, which includes the Cajun Craze Linen Thread (and a whole lot more!)

  • Every online purchase during October of $50 or more before tax & shipping will receive a free package of Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels as a thank you from me!  Must use Host Code V3XUZUNS when placing your order to be eligible for free gift.

Thanks for visiting today!  Here are the products I used on my Nature's Beauty card - click any of the links to purchase from me.

Clean and Simple Patriotic Card

Hi Stampers,

Today I'm happy to share with you a clean & simple card to celebrate Independence Day.  Red, white & blue is such a clean & classic color combination!  I'm submitting this design to CAS(E) this Sketch #277.

Here's the sketch:

The stripes are cut from Real Red cardstock using the Swirly Scribbles Thinlits.  I used the star die-cut from my Wood Crate Framelits to cut the stars from Blueberry Bushel cardstock.  "Celebrate" is one of the stamps in Picture Perfect Birthday, stamped in Night of Navy.  I brushed the stars with Clear Wink of Stella for a beautiful shimmer.  The small stars are Metallic Enamel Shapes (retired - sad, I know!)

Back in the day when I used to scrapbook like crazy, I collected enough 12" x 12" scrapbook papers to open my own store.  Even though I don't do much of that these days, I can't bear to get rid of those beautiful papers, so I've been using them to create my own envelopes using the Envelope Punch Board.  It's so simple - an 8" x 8" piece creates a standard sized A2 envelope.

I hope you'll visit the CAS(E) this Sketch website to see all of the great projects there!

Did you know?

You can use only part of a stamp without cutting it apart.  Carefully cover the section you don't want to stamp with Post-It sticky notes.  Ink the stamp as you normally would, then remove the sticky notes and you're ready to stamp.
