Spring Cleaning in the Craft Room

 Hello!

Thank goodness spring is finally here...I think.  Not so much today, but there's promise on the horizon.  Spring is my time to renew & refresh, and when I got to the craft room, I had to face the facts...I've got work to do!

Yup, those are all unfinished Paper Pumpkin kits.  Now in my defense, most of them are at least half done, but I moved on to something else before finishing.  (I'm sure no one else does that LOL!)  My goal is to wipe out this stack before it gets any taller.

It would be easy to just put together the rest of the cards as per the instructions, but I like to get creative.  When I open a Paper Pumpkin box, I first assemble one of each card as the designer intended, but after that I usually go off and do my own thing with the rest.  So that slows me down a bit.

I wasn't going to share this project on my blog, but then I thought I'm probably not the only one with unfinished kits sitting around and maybe you'd like to see what I'm doing, so here goes!

The first kit I picked up was July 2019.  This photo from Stampin' Up! shows the cards as per the instructions.  I had just 3 cards left in this kit, so here's what I did with them---

I'm pretty happy with the way these turned out, and best of all, there's ONE LESS BOX IN THE STACK!!

Hopefully you're inspired to finish up your own Paper Pumpkin kits.  I just hope I can knock out another kit this week...there's a box of new catalog Stampin' Up! goodies on its way...I'm pretty easily distracted by pretty new stamps & papers :)

  1. You are not alone! I subscribed and had a build up like yours too! I did get them all finished!
I promised myself that I wouldn't let that happen again...I have to work on the last 2 Paper Pumpkins.
Yes, I let 2 months collect! Must get them done before it looks like yours too! Happy Stamping!
