If there's a music lover in your life, here's an idea for a special card that they would love.
The card base is made from Very Vanilla cardstock. The front is covered with a piece of Wood Textures Designer Paper, 4-1/4" x 5-1/2". For the stamped panel, start with a 3-1/2" x 5-1/2" piece of Very Vanilla. I stamped the guitar on it (about in the middle) with Versamark and embossed it using Copper Embossing Powder. The coloring is done with Stampin' Blends in Bronze, Pumpkin Pie (dark) and Daffodil Delight (dark). The words are stamped randomly around the guitar in Early Espresso ink. To get the look of the guitar "hanging" off the edge, I used my Stampin' Trimmer to trim the panel to 2-3/4" wide by cutting from the top down to the guitar and then from the bottom up to the guitar. Then I trimmed around the end with Paper Snips.
All of the words are found in the "Happy Birthday Gorgeous" stamp set. Embossing the guitar makes it extra easy to keep inside the lines when you're coloring with the Blends. The stamped panel is mounted on a piece of Copper Foil 3" x 5-1/2".
I love to decorate my envelopes. I took that a step further on this card by making my own envelope out of a piece of old sheet music! The Envelope Punch Board makes this a breeze.
