I hope you're having a wonderful week! It's been a busy one for me. I had a whole list of errands to accomplish and crossed off every one of them. What a great feeling! As I was driving across town on my way to the drug store, I passed the entrance to a golf community that was landscaped with the most gorgeous orange & magenta impatiens I've ever seen. The colors were so stunning & vibrant, I was inspired to create a card with the same colors. Here's what I came up with:
I'm loving the combination of Melon Mambo & Tangerine Tango here. These beautiful flowers are from the stamp set "Oh So Eclectic". The leaves are stamped in Old Olive. Even though "Oh So Eclectic" has leaves in the stamp set, I wanted some smaller ones that wouldn't overwhelm these gorgeous flowers, so I chose the smaller leaves that are part of the "Swirly Bird" stamp set.
The centers of the flowers are stamped in Archival Basic Black for bold contrast, as is the bold sentiment from "One Big Meaning".
I liked this design so much that I made a dozen of these to have on hand. Some of them are matted on Basic Black cardstock and some on Melon Mambo with a Whisper White card base. Others are matted on Basic Black with a Melon Mambo card base. I can't decide which is my favorite - I love them all!
I experimented with adding Rhinestone Jewels on some of them. With the jewels or without, this card is a show-stopper and so easy to make! I stamped a dozen of these in about 30 minutes. That's my kind of card - clean & simple and QUICK!
