With gift cards becoming more & more popular for every occasion, wouldn't it be great to have a special way to present them? Here's a pop-up gift card holder that you can make with a half-sheet of cardstock and your favorite designer papers!
This gift card holder features a matchbook style closure!
The gift card slides up from the bottom pocket as you open the top cover.
Stamp "oh what fun" as shown. Punch 2 circles from Garden Green cardstock. Score & fold them in the center and use them to secure the sides of the insert. Use a strong adhesive for this - Tear & Tape or Glue Dots. This forms the pocket to hold the gift card. Align the insert with the top score line on the card base and remove the backing from the tape. Fold the top of the card base down and press firmly.
The decorated front panels are cut from Garden Green cardstock, 3" x 4" (top) and 1-3/4" x 4" (bottom). The Be Merry Designer Series Paper is 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" (top) and 1-1/2" x 3-3/4" (bottom). Two circles punched from Cherry Cobbler cardstock secure the bottom half of the gift card holder.
"Happy Christmas" is stamped in Versamark and heat embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. It's die-cut using the Layering Ovals Framelits and layered on a scalloped oval cut from Cherry Cobbler cardstock. Adhere it to the front of the gift card holder using Stampin' Dimensionals. The 1/8" Gold Ribbon is attached with a Glue Dot.
Here's a birthday version made with retired Stampin' Up products. Let your imagination go wild!
