Tip for Mailing Your Cards

Hi Friends,

I send a lot of cards every week to friends, family, customers & teammates.  Most of my cards have embellishments that are not always mail-sorting friendly, like gems & pearls.  My tip for protecting those gems and keeping them from popping through the envelope is to add a little extra padding.  You've put your heart into these cards, you want them to arrive as you intended!

These 4" x 5" foam sheets are 1/32" thick.  They're just enough to keep embellishments from poking through the envelope yet not add any weight.

I'm offering these foam sheets for sale in bundles of 25 for $2.50.  Shipping is $3.49 for up to 4 bundles (100 pieces).  Shipping to U.S. only please, must use PayPal.

To order, please send an email to ramblinstamper@gmail.com or click "Contact Me" on the left side of the page.  I'll send an invoice through PayPal and ship them out asap!

Have a great weekend!

Counting Sheep Sneak Peek!

Counting Sheep is the name of the new stamp set I used to make this card.  It's going to be available beginning August 3 - and I love that you can get it for FREE with any $50 purchase during Sale-a-Bration (August 3-September 30, 2021)!

The stamp set has a coordinating set of dies which can also be earned with a $50 purchase.  Sheep Dies are a 10 piece set that will cut three different sheep, the fence, balloons, party hat & more.  I used Blending Brushes and Basic Borders Dies to create the clouds on the scalloped rectangle-visit my previous blog post to learn how that's done.

I paired Counting Sheep with the sentiment from A Grand Kid to make this for my darling granddaughter.  I chose my colors from the cheerful Designer Paper background - Coastal Cabana, Night of Navy, Calypso Coral and Crushed Curry.  Playful Alphabet Dies include numbers that come in handy for cards like this!  The sheep is colored with Smoky Slate & Petal Pink Stampin' Blends.

The perfect sentiment for my sweet little three year old.

Beauty of Friendship

Hi Friends,

I had some fun playing with Blending Brushes today!

I started with a piece of Basic White cardstock cut to 4-1/4" x 5-1/2".  I stamped four trees, 2 Balmy Blue and 2 Just Jade, staggering the height of each.  I love these stamps - they look like a 2 step stamp but they're not!  The images you see here are a single stamp.  There is another layer that can be added, but I like them this way.  I think they look like Blue Spruce evergreens!

Next I used a Post-It note and a 1" punch to make a mask for the moon.  With that in place, I used a Blending Brush with my Balmy Blue ink pad to brush color onto the sky.  When I removed the mask I thought the white moon was too bright, so I brushed a little more color over it.

The third step was to cut the image out using the largest of the Stitched Rectangle Dies, then emboss it with the Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.  I stamped the sentiment in Balmy Blue and cut it with one of the Painted Labels Dies.  I really like this embossing folder - it gives the look of a painting on canvas.

Finally, I mounted the stamped panel on a piece of Basic White and added it to a Balmy Blue card base.  The sentiment is mounted on Stampin' Dimensionals; and, of course, can't forget the bling!

Thanks for stopping by my blog today :)

Pansy Petals Spanner Card with Printable Tutorial

 Hi Friends,

My last Stampin' Up! order included Pansy Petals Designer Series Paper, and I've been using it a LOT.  The designs and colors are so beautiful!

This fold is called a spanner card and it's perfect to show off some of these gorgeous papers.

There's a hidden message under the spanner - how fun!

The third layer can be stamped or left blank for your own message.

I used Blackberry Bliss for the cardbase and Fresh Freesia for the sentiment panel.  I fussy-cut the pansy but if that's not your thing, there are dies that will cut it from the designer paper for you!
