Sending Sunshine & Hugs

Hi friends!

It's gloomy outside today so I thought I'd spread a little sunshine!

Such a happy card!  I have quite a stash of designer papers in my studio so I wanted to make something to showcase some of my favorite ones.  These patterns are from the Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper.

The "sunshine" was cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock using the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.  I used Copper Embossing Powder on the "sending" and "& hugs" to match the copper accents in the designer paper.  They are part of the Sunshine Sayings stamp set.  The other cardstock colors on my card are Crumb Cake and Night of Navy.

This one uses Watermelon Wonder cardstock for the base.  These prints are also part of the Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper - love this paper!  The "sending" and "& hugs" are embossed on Night of Navy cardstock with White Stampin' Emboss Powder.

The "sunshine" was die-cut from a Copper Foil Sheet.  I think the copper looks beautiful with Night of Navy and Watermelon Wonder - a great color combo.

The Sunshine Sayings stamp set and the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits are available as a bundle until May 31, 2017 - save 10% when you buy them together!  The Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper and Watermelon Wonder cardstock are available only while supplies last or until May 31.  When you order from my website, please be sure to provide your contact information so I can thank you properly!  I appreciate all my customers and the confidence you show by choosing me as your demonstrator.

Last Chance for Botanical Blooms

Hi Stampers,

Have you checked out the new Clearance Rack deals posted this week?  When I was looking through them and saw all the beautiful designer papers there, I was inspired to get out my beautiful Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Paper once again.  This paper has rich, gorgeous colors - Night of Navy, Rich Razzleberry, Mint Macaron, Delightful Dijon, Cajun Craze, Soft Suede, and Very Vanilla with Copper Foil accents.

I decided to pair the DSP with another retiring favorite, Botanical Blooms and the matching Botanical Builder Framelits.  I love the copper foil accents in this paper!

I die-cut & layered flowers from the Botanical Builder Framelits in Rich Razzleberry, Night of Navy and Very Vanilla.  I sponged the edges of the flower petals with matching inks on Sponge Daubers.  The flower centers are Rich Razzleberry Enamel Shapes from the Brights Collection.

The leaves are die-cut from Mint Macaron cardstock.

A length of Copper Metallic Thread adhered behind the flowers with a Glue Dot coordinates nicely with the copper foil accents in the designer paper.  The sentiment is from another retiring stamp set called Suite Sentiments.

This is another "Last Chance" card.  Petals & Paisleys Specialty Designer Paper is deeply discounted on the Clearance Rack at $5.20.  Botanical Blooms, the Botanical Builder Framelits & Suite Sentiments are all on the Retiring List at discounted prices also!

Shop now to stock up on these great products before they're gone forever!

Falling For You - Last Chance Card!

Hi Stampers,

We made this "last chance" card at my class on Sunday.  I call it a last chance card because all of the products used here except for the cardstock and inks are retiring at the end of May!

Isn't it gorgeous?  And best of all, it took only a few minutes to create.  The stamp set is called Falling For You.  I love the fonts in this one and there are sentiments for any loving occasion - "for the bride & groom", "anniversary wishes", "every heart needs one special person to love", "celebrating with you", and more.

This one uses Soft Sky cardstock for the base.  The sentiment is stamped in Early Espresso ink on a 1" strip of Very Vanilla, flagged at both ends using the Triple Banner Punch.  The background is embossed with the Falling Petals Embossing Folder.  The leaves are die-cut from the Stylish Stems Framelits using Bermuda Bay Glimmer Paper (this was a free Sale-a-Bration item).  The Lace Doilies are printed Very Vanilla on one side and white on the other.  A single flower from the Falling In Love Embellishments completes this card.

This time I used Perfect Plum cardstock, Elegant Eggplant ink and Gold Glimmer Paper.  Here's a tip for using the Triple Banner Punch:  when punching a 1" banner on both ends, cut your strip of cardstock exactly 1" longer than you want the finished banner to measure - the TBP takes off 1/2" from each end.

More and more of the retiring products are disappearing every day, so shop early to avoid disappointment!

Lift Me Up With Copper Accents

Hey friends,

Hope everyone had a good weekend!  Ours was spent visiting with friends we hadn't seen in way too long, plus doing some yardwork, and of course, some papercrafting.  You know what they say, a day without crafting is like a day without sunshine (or something like that!)

I have another card to share that I made using the Lift Me Up Bundle - so glad that this one is not retiring yet!  I've probably made more cards from this bundle than any other set I own.

This one is an easel card I made for a good friend.  If you've never made an easel card, a search on Pinterest will pull up dozens of tutorials on how it's done!  When folded flat, this card is a standard A2 size.  The colors here are Crumb Cake, Night of Navy, Very Vanilla, Watermelon Wonder & Peekaboo Peach.

I used my Copper Foil sheets to add accents on the large balloon.  Love how the copper shines!

I stamped the small and medium sized balloons with my Versamark ink pad and sprinkled them with Copper Embossing Powder and set it with the Heat Tool.

The clouds and the balloon are attached with Stampin' Dimensionals so the back of the card rests against them to stand upright.  The greeting was heat embossed with Copper Embossing Powder, too. The flagged tail on the greeting was made using the Triple Banner Punch - in my opinion, this is a must-have punch.  You can use it to make a tail on any width banner up to 2 inches!

The Lift Me Up Bundle is so versatile - just changing the colors can make it perfect for a girl or a guy.  Even though the stamp set & die-cuts will still be available after May 31, the special bundle pricing (10% savings) will not, so if this is on your wish list, order it now & save!

Let's Thank Our Heroes

Hey Friends!

Today I'm sharing cards I designed to show appreciation for our nation's military heroes.  A friend asked me for a set of cards she could use to send to retired military friends on Veteran's Day, but why wait for a special day?  Our troops both active & retired need to know they are appreciated everyday!

These are quick and easy to make.  Both use only two colors of ink - Real Red and Dapper Denim -on a Thick Whisper White card base.

There are four different stamp sets that I used on these cards.  The sad thing is, three of the four are on the retiring list!  I use them all a lot, and will continue using them for my own personal projects.  On the first card, the swooshes and hearts are from Work of Art.  This one is carrying over to the new catalog coming in June.  The "thank you" is from Tin of Cards, and "for your service" is from Endless Thanks, both retiring in May.  The white star is die-cut from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper with the Stars Framelits Dies.  The Stars Framelits are also on the retiring list.

The second card uses Gorgeous Grunge to make the spatters across the card - I stamped 2 different images multiple times to get this effect.  Gorgeous Grunge is retiring and will no longer be available after May 31.  The stars once again are cut using the Stars Framelits (retiring) out of Dazzling Diamonds and Red Glimmer Paper.  The smallest stars were punched out with a previously retired punch.

I used Real Red & Dapper Denim  cardstock to make a box that holds a dozen of these cards and envelopes using my Envelope Punch Board.  The square decorating the boxtop was cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits.

I hope you have enjoyed this project!

Visit my website today to see the complete list of retiring products.  Any order that contains one or more of the retiring stamps or dies used in this project will get a free pdf instruction sheet of how to make the card box - just make sure to provide me with your email address!

GOODBYE & GOOD LUCK

Hi Stampers,

Here's a card I designed to tell some very special friends that I'll be missing them when they leave! It's a little different twist on the Lift Me Up Bundle.  I knew that I wanted to use "Goodbye & Good Luck" from Banners For You, and I thought that the hot air balloons floating away would be the perfect image to pair with it.

My colors are Crumb Cake, Pool Party, Very Vanilla, and Watermelon Wonder.  If you read my blog, you know that Pool Party is one of my go-to colors.  It looks great with almost anything!

The Goodbye & Good Luck is stamped with Versamark and embossed with Copper Embossing Powder.  The banner was die-cut with the Bunch of Banners Framelits Dies.  Banners For You and Bunch of Banners are available together as a bundle (save 10%)!

One of the smaller balloons was embossed with copper, also - love how it melts so smooth and shiny!

I hope my friends like this card.  If you know anyone who is leaving the neighborhood, leaving the office, or maybe (best of all!) retiring, this would make a heartfelt keepsake that would be a reminder of the friendship you share.
